UCT is seeking an experienced self-driven SAP FICO, Business Systems Analyst with a primary focus and hands-on experience in the Controlling area to join our team in Hayward, CA. This position is open to remote employment depending on your location. This role will also require travel (20%) for global project rollouts and depending on the work situation, may require working out of one of our various US-based locations. The individual selected for this role handles the SAP CO part primarily supporting our global footprint for production support and projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the implementation and support of SAP Financials
    • Focus on CO Controlling – Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, Month End Close, Overhead assessment, and Material Ledger/Actual Costing
  • Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate, and document customer requirements.
  • Drive workshops when needed to elicit business requirements.
  • Map business requirements, processes, and objectives; provide solution options, recommendations, viewpoints, pros and cons for respective recommendations.
  • Provide functional specifications to develop necessary product modifications that satisfy business needs.
  • Design, customize, configure, and testing of CO modules.
  • Identify gaps, issues, and work around solutions.
  • Act as liaison with business stakeholders for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and solve problems.
  • Document functional designs & specifications, test cases, and results.
  • Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements.
  • Provide ad-hoc training and user support as required.
  • Work self-directed and independently; may act as subject matter mentor to more junior members.
  • Collaborating and coordinating with a global support team.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to configure CO module to meet Costing requirements.
  • Ability to elicit requirements from global business users primarily North American users.
  • Business user relationship management.
  • Knowledge of General Ledger plus 2 or more of the following functions:
    • Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, Inter-company & Intra-company Accounting.
  • Experience in FI integration points with other SAP modules like MM, PP, and SD.
  • Experience in S4HANA is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables and projects at the same time.
  • Experience with at least 2 or 3 data migration projects.
  • Ability to understand business processes from a customer perspective.
  • Ability to work in a global team environment, effectively interacting with others and guiding business users on best practices in SAP CO.
  • Must be result-oriented, and have a can-do attitude – be adaptable, flexible, and resourceful.
  • Possess good, clear verbal and presentation skills especially when interacting with business users with minimal SAP knowledge.
  • Strong MS Excel skills and ability to analyze, present, and troubleshoot data issues.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • Minimum BA in Finance area.
  • Functional experience in Finance and/or Costing, should have preferably worked in a finance role.
  • SAP Certification in FICO desired but not necessary.

Experience Requirement:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in full-cycle implementation and in support projects primarily for the CO area. Manufacturing industry experience would be a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of SAP experience in the Controlling side of FICO with Cost Element Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, and Material Ledger hands-on experience.

The pay range for this position at the commencement of employment is expected to be between $127,400 and $203,900/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including variable pay and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO (Paid Time Off) and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, the employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
