Job Summary:

The Residential Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the overall clinical operations, administrative oversight, quality assurance, coordination, and implementation of all clinical assessment, individual/group/family therapy, TBS, and Day Treatment services provided to youth residential clients.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of strategies to promote teamwork between clinicians and residential staff, enhance communication between clinicians/residential staff/medical staff/school staff, and promote the role of therapists in providing support to residents and staff 7 days per week.
  • Ensure integrity, quality, and compliance with best practice protocols across assigned clinical services. Adapt service models, as appropriate, to meet the unique and changing needs of client populations. Assure that all assigned clinical services are based on trauma-informed care protocols. Provide trauma-informed care training to the residential team, as needed or requested.
  • Assures that all assigned staff meet internal and external requirements, best practice models, Medicaid compliance, and accreditation standards.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communications with all internal and external stakeholders, including clients, family members, custody holders, and staff members.
  • Responsible for development, implementation, quality, and oversight of Day Treatment curricula and practices. Observe at least one Day Treatment group per week, with the expectation that clear feedback and suggestions for improvement be communicated to group leaders thereafter. Day Treatment curricula will be thoroughly reviewed and modified annually or more often, if needed, to assure relevance and therapeutic quality, and to promote positive client outcomes.
  • Provide accountable leadership to all assigned staff, utilizing observation, coaching, established metrics, open dialogue, and regular evaluation to drive clinical outcomes.
  • Work with Intake staff to assure client assessment and case assignments are aligned with census expectations. Provide consultation to Intake staff on potential intakes, as requested, to assure ability to meet the clinical needs of clients being considered for placement.
  • Assures that clinical programming meets fiscal expectations, and that clinical coverage is available 24/7 should a crisis arise.
  • Positively promotes the residential program both internally and externally. Serves as a liaison, as needed, between multiple organizational departments on behalf of the residential program.
  • Implementation of consistent accountability measures for clinical team.
  • Oversees employee performance management, including clinical oversight, productivity, resident and staff engagement, resident feedback, resident participation in therapy, new intakes, group census, and appropriate program implementation.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels that balance both resident/family need for services and strong financial outcomes.
  • Lead census in collaboration with operations and medical, including new resident inquiries and intakes.
  • Program oversight to achieve resident and financial outcomes, including groups and intensive programs, oversight of cottage programming, and co-occurring specialties.
  • Provide clinical leadership to entire residential campus through consistent and clear communication, meetings, one-on-one connections, small group discussions, and clinical consultations.
  • On-call for clinical oversight during crisis situations reported by operations, clinical, and/or medical team members, 24/7.
  • Oversees the provision of therapeutic coverage on campus 24/7.
  • Fiscal management and accountability of all assigned programs and services. Assists in the development of realistic budgets, working pro-actively to assure budget compliance, and taking immediate action to resolve fiscal problems should they occur.
  • Attends funder and community-based meetings that aide in strategic partnership development including stakeholder meetings and community events.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable culture while promoting the organizations mission, vision, values, and brand.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • May be involved in the organization, and implementation of specific events, specific projects, or program changes.
  • Exhibits positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
  • Demonstrates positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment and present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Performance/Physical Requirements:

  • Work environment is based in an office setting and consist of walking, standing, bending, stooping, lifting up to 30 lbs. and remaining in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills to problem solve and interact verbally with staff, representatives from outside agencies and families.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree is social service and/or counseling with an accompanying LISW-S, LPCC-S, IMFT-S.
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
  • Ability to take and pass a physical exam and drug screening.
  • Employment is contingent upon clear results of a thorough background check.
