Refractive Coordinator

Ophthalmology LTD delivers treatment for cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease, as well as cornea transplants, oculoplastic surgery, retina surgery, vitreoretinal surgery, and refractive surgery in Sioux Falls.

We are looking for a passionate and energetic Refractive Coordinator to join our expanding practice. The refractive coordinator is essential to the success of each patient interested in refractive surgery.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provides excellent service and expert care.
• Properly educates interested patients on available refractive services.
• Schedule initial consultations, surgery, and post-operative appointments.
• Thoroughly reviews all financial responsibilities including the collection of all required documents and payments.
• Partners closely with refractive surgery team to answer patient questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintains continuous connection with patients both pre- and post-surgery.
• Routinely contacts patients who have not yet scheduled surgery to maintain relationship.

Requirements include, but are not limited to:

• Strong customer service and computer experience.
• Positive, energetic, and empathetic personality.
• Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
• Excellent written and oral communication. 
• Prior healthcare office and sales experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy is preferred.
• Ability to adapt to change.
• Minimum of 2-year degree or 3 years of experience in sales, clerical, or financial roles.

Full-time position, 40 hours/weekly, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
