Operation Exodus Inner City is seeking a Part-Time group leader for our Enrichment Program. The candidate will have the opportunity to assist elementary school students in educational achievement by improving homework skills, developing literacy and math strategies, and building a strong partnership with parents. Additionally, they will work within a team led by the Senior Program Director.

Responsibilities:

• Provide academic support and teach an instructional time in the subjects of Literacy, Math, and Science
• Document and monitor student progress and achievement (progress reports)
• Work as a team with other group leaders and parents to serve your student’s best
• Prepare educational-based activities for children to participate in when homework has been completed
• Prepare lesson plans for weekly academic classes
• Lead and plan for daily creative classes
• Participate in character and faith development activities
• Participate during weekly debrief, training, staff meetings, and professional development workshops

Qualifications:

• A college graduate or currently enrolled in college
• Previous experience working with young people
• Experience in lesson planning and managing a virtual classroom
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
• Must have access to technology including internet access, laptop and/or iPads
• Proficient in Math, English Language Arts, Social Studies and Science to provide academic assistance to elementary students
• Motivated and proactive individual
• Comfortable working in a faith-based atmosphere/working with a faith-based organization

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Afternoon shift
• After school
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
