Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Kennel Technician in Taylor, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for the caretaking of animals in the shelter, maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, and assisting with animal adoptions. What you’ll be responsible for:
- Feed, walk, exercise, and bathe animals.
- Maintain animal holding facility, including sweeping/mopping floors, wiping counters, and removing trash.
- Clean and sanitize inside kennels.
- Assist other staff members with adoptions.
What you’ll need:
- 6 month previous shelter experience preferred.
- Customer service skills and the ability to work on a computer.
- Ability to work occasional weekends.
- High School Graduate or GED required.
- Selected candidates will be required to pass all pre-hire employment checks, which may include a criminal background check and drug screening.
