Job Description

CRDF Global is seeking candidates for its 2024 Summer Internship Program in support of our Sustained Dialogue for Peaceful Uses (SDPU) Team within the Nuclear Energy and Science Engagement Programs under the Security Assistance Division. The internship will be in our Arlington, Virginia office, starting June 3rd and ending August 30, 2024. We work in a hybrid environment that provides employees with a weekly mix of in-office and remote work.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who can work both independently and as part of the team on projects related to topic such as: peaceful applications of nuclear technology, nuclear security, safety, and nonproliferation, counterproliferation finance, and who enjoys working in a challenging environment. Under this role, interns will work closely with Nuclear Energy and Science Engagement program and SDPU teams on various tasks including but not limited to one of the following: conducting subject area research; contributing to monthly program reviews; support programming; and assisting program teams utilizing SharePoint, Airtable, Salesforce, and other organizational tools. 

 Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist team with Monthly Program Reviews

  • Work with team to develop and implement remote workshops and trainings 

  • Conduct research and help program teams design projects related to any of the following subjects: 

    • Peaceful applications of nuclear technology
    • Stakeholder engagement in the development community
    • Nuclear security, safety, and nonproliferation 
    • Advanced nuclear energy reactors
  • Work with program teams to further develop our subject-matter expert/consultant database in Salesforce / Airtable

  • Support growth efforts and Thought Leadership Events 

  • Assist other interns in the creation of a group project 

Qualifications:

  • Possesses or pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in related field 

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 

  • Strong time management skills 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

  • Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills 

  • Ability to work at least 20 hours per week with a maximum of 28 hours per week 

  • U.S. work authorization without sponsorship required 

CRDF Global pays interns at a rate of $17.50 per hour.
