Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced AfterSchool Coordinator and Teacher to lead our AfterSchool program for children in TK through 5th grade. The ideal candidate will be passionate about child development and education, capable of creating and implementing a dynamic, engaging, and educational after-school curriculum that supports our school's philosophy. This role involves coordinating daily activities, providing educational support, and fostering a safe and stimulating environment for all children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and oversee an enriching AfterSchool curriculum that includes homework support, recreational activities, and Spanish language immersion.
• Coordinate daily AfterSchool activities, ensuring a balance of educational, creative, and physical activities.
• Monitor and support the academic progress of students, providing additional support where needed.
• Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and school administration about students' progress, program updates, and any concerns.
• Manage the AfterSchool program's resources and materials, ensuring they are used effectively and kept in good condition.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for all children.
• Train, supervise, and mentor any assistant teachers or volunteers in the AfterSchool program.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Previous experience working with children in TK through 5th grade, preferably in an AfterSchool, camp, or educational setting.
• Fluent in Spanish and English to support our bilingual environment.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Creative and able to design engaging activities that promote learning and fun.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.

Pay: $22.27 - $26.82 per hour
