Open Loop Energy is Hiring a Field Service Technician Near Safford, AZ

Employment Type: Full-Time including travel and overnight stays required

Salary: $20.00- $30.00

About Us: Open Loop Energy is a leading company in the Hydraulic repair and heavy equipment parts service industry, specializing in the production and distribution of industry leading solutions and repairs. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. This role would be working in our Technical Services Department.

Key Tasks:

1. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems and components in the field.

2. Conduct routine maintenance checks on hydraulic equipment.

3. Install and commission hydraulic systems based on provided specifications.

4. Liaise with customers to determine hydraulic system issues and requirements.

5. Calibrate and adjust hydraulic components for optimal performance.

6. Record and report service data for company records.

7. Provide technical support and training to customers and junior technicians.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure safety procedures are followed during all operations.

2. Maintain a clean and organized work environment both in the field and at the facility.

3. Stay updated with the latest developments in hydraulic technology and practices.

4. Provide high-quality customer service and maintain positive client relations.

5. Coordinate with the internal team and suppliers to source parts and equipment.

6. Regularly report to the supervisor regarding service status and challenges.

7. Participate in continuous training and development programs.

Work Activities:

1. On-site troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic systems.

2. Customer engagement and relationship management.

3. Continuous learning and skill enhancement.

4. Equipment and parts inventory management.

5. Documentation and reporting of all service activities.

Technology Skills:

1. Hydraulic simulation and design software.

2. Computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

3. Diagnostic tools for hydraulic systems.

4. Basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office, Email).

5. GPS and navigation software for field assignments.

Knowledge:

1. Deep understanding of hydraulic systems and components.

2. Familiarity with industrial safety standards and regulations.

3. Knowledge of hydraulic schematics and blueprints.

4. Principles of customer service and relationship management.

5. Basics of mechanical and electrical systems interfacing with hydraulic systems.

Skills:

1. Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

2. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

3. Ability to work independently and in a team.

4. Detail-oriented and adept at following procedures.

5. Time management and multitasking capabilities.

Abilities:

1. Physical stamina to work in demanding field environments.

2. Manual dexterity for handling tools and components.

3. Visual acuity for reading schematics and identifying hydraulic issues.

4. Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces when required.

5. Adaptive thinking to come up with solutions in challenging situations.

6. Ability to travel to customer sites which includes out of town overnight stays to support customers at remote locations.

Industry-Specific Certifications (preferred but not mandatory):

1. Fluid Power Hydraulic Specialist (CFPHS) Certification.

2. Certified Hydraulic Mechanic (CHM).

3. Industrial Hydraulic Technology (IHT) Certification.

4. ISO 4413: Hydraulic fluid power – General rules and safety requirements.

5. OSHA Safety Training.

It began operations in Safford, Arizona, a central location to serve the Southwestern mining and construction industries.The core business was centered on hydraulic component repair and reclamation. In its modest beginnings, there were three original shareholders and two employees.The building of 11,500 square feet, contained a complete machine shop, hydraulic rebuild shop, weld shop and corporate offices.
