COSA 21st Century Community Learning Center Specialist - Independent Contract

CONTRACT SUMMARY
With the support of the Director of COSA the COSA 21st CCLC Specialist will be responsible for building the capacity of assigned organizations (grantees) who participate in the Ohio Department of Education's federally funded 21st Century Community Learning Centers Competitive Grant Program; ensuring compliance with the Ohio Department of Education (ODE)requirements and best practices for related program implementation. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to, programming feedback, evaluation, data collection, alignment with Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)performance measures, and alignment of programming with the school day.
DURATION OF THE CONTRACT
From the date of contract, through June 30th, 2024.
COMPENSATION
- $35 per hour for on-board trainings
- $150 per consultation
- Mileage reimbursement
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides on-site consultation on programming feedback, evaluation, data collection, alignment with ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) performance measures, and alignment of programming with the school day (Possibility to provide virtual consultation based on grant approval)
- Develops and maintains a trusting and positive mentoring relationship with their assigned Grantee representatives
- Serves as an information resource for assigned grantee representatives
- Ensures that all assigned grantee representatives are aware of regional and state-wide training sessions and meetings and encourages their attendance
- Provides regular updates to their assigned Grantee representatives regarding changes in grant requirements and state licensing
- Ensures that all assigned grantee representatives know about ODA’s online resource center and can navigate the site successfully
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge regarding grant requirements, state licensing, best practices for program implementation, emerging program tends, evaluation instruments and processes, data collection methods and ESSA performance measures
- Gathers field notes, cultivates resources, administers and reviews surveys, and tracks data
Provides input to Director of COSA on learning objectives and shares Grantee feedback on trainings, as appropriate
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Education,Administration,or related fieldrequired.
Experience:
- Minimum of three years of experience in 21stCentury Community Learning Center afterschool and/or summer programming.
- Experience with 21stCentury Community Learning Center grants requirements.
Demonstrated multiple experiences in mentoring/coaching adults
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Developing and leading professional development workshops for adult learners
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
