Residential Program Coordinator

Qualifications:

- High school or equivalent diploma (required)
- Two years’ experience managing Residential Program Managers and Direct Care
Workers for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Summary of Responsibilities and Expectations:

The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the responsibilities of the Program Managers. The Program Coordinator is also responsible for assuring that each residential group homes is staffed, clean and well kept and that staff is performing their job duties and responsibilities, as assigned. The Program Coordinator shall present a professional image to both internal and external customers. Written and verbal communication must be conducted in a manner that represents the high level of professionalism that is expected of a administrator.

Monitoring and Training - Supervise the provision of formal teaching and support in accordance with Individual
Person Centered Service Plan and Behavior Treatment Plans.

- Ensure that all required documentation is complete, legible, and written accordingly to
DDD and agency policy and procedures.

- Ensure the completion of assessments and provide input into the development of
services, goals, objectives, and teaching strategies.

- Supervise managers in coordinating medical and behavioral services, also ensuring that
the proper documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with policy.

- Asist all Program Managers to assure training and daily activities are
implemented and documented as scheduled.

- Ensure the provision of financial management assistance to members in the residence, as
assigned.

- Assistance in arranging transportation for day programs, medical appointments, and
other community activities.

- Maintaining contact with families and guardians.

- Ensure the assistance with accessing available community resources.

- The management, compliance ,training and implementation of the PCSP and Behavior
Treatment Plans.

- Schedule and attend staff meetings, in-service and training activities as assigned.

- Conduct overnight pop-ups once a month for each home assuring the home is clean,
books are completed correctly, and staff is following and adhering to overnight
responsibilities and policy.

- Assure that all agency employee and member information is held confidential according
to Open Arms policy.

- Assure that members are free from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

- Ensure that all incident reports are correctly written, submitted and placed in member’s
files.

- Conduct bi-monthly management reviews in each group home.

- Ensure all group home documentation (medication log, member program logs, evauation
drills, etc.) are completed, accurate and legible.

Monitoring of Medical Concerns:

- Monitor the documentation of health information concerns daily as applicable.

- Ensure Member medication administration and provide training, when appropriate, to
increase Medication Knowledge.

- Ensure medication management to include medication inventory, ensure medication label
and medication book reflect the same medication name and dosage, pharmacy ordering
and delivery.

- Ensure that all medical consents and psychotropic medication consents are current.

Budget Responsibilities:

- Oversee, develop, and evaluate staff schedules to assure compliance with budgeted
hours.

Oversee the grocery, supplies and household needs maintaining set budgets.

- Ensure licensing and member files comply and coincide with DHS/DDD standards.

- Ensure group home maintenance requests are submitted to administration promptly.
