The MDS nurse auditor will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of clinical documentation, promoting compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting high-quality patient care in healthcare settings.We are now opening a position for MDS Nurse Auditor for TX. This person will office out of our corporate headquarters in Fort Worth.

The role of a Minimum Data Set (MDS) nurse auditor involves ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient assessments in healthcare facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Assessment Review: Reviewing patient medical records and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of care.
  2. Data Analysis: Analyzing MDS data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, identifying any discrepancies or trends that may require further investigation or correction.
  3. Quality Assurance: Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve the accuracy and quality of clinical documentation and assessment processes.
  4. Compliance Monitoring: Monitoring facility practices to ensure adherence to government regulations and guidelines related to MDS assessments and documentation.
  5. Education and Training: Providing education and training to staff on proper assessment techniques, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements.
  6. Audit and Reporting: Conducting audits of MDS assessments and documentation practices, and preparing reports detailing findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
  7. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Working closely with nurses, therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and comprehensive patient assessments that support optimal care planning and delivery.
