We are looking for a friendly Maintenance Director who will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the maintenance department to ensure environmental center compliance in accordance to Federal, State and Local ordinance, regulations and building codes. Ensures center is maintained in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition in good repair, free from hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating and cool systems. Also responsible for the provision of quality laundry service.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Highschool Diploma or equivalency.

• One to two years supervisory experience in ac commercial establishment with knowledge of laundry/housekeeping/ maintenance procedures.

• Minimum of 2 years work experience in lng-term care preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervises all Environmental Services personnel and daily work in assigned areas throughout center in a way that balances budget, staffing, and resolves interdepartmental personnel issues. Processes and maintains records of accounts payable, supplies received, equipment maintenance.

• Executes the company’s preventative maintenance program, documents all maintenance activities including replacement of parts and materials used as well as fuel supply.

• Collaborates with healthcare workers and department leaders to ensure infection prevention and other related environmental requests.

• Maintains electrical and mechanical equipment in good working order, picks up work order requests, establishes work priority, and performs daily rounding inspection of assigned areas to ensure cleanliness.

• Checks light bulbs and exit lights and water temperatures, circuit breakers, temperatures of walk in cooler, freezers and call-light system for each room and adjusts accordingly.

• Ensures proper functioning of power generation, time clock, exhaust fans, water fountains, toilets and drains; balances scales and checks operation of elevators regularly.

• Conducts fire drills; Checks fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and lubricates all fire doors.

• Identifies and recommends independent contractors for repairs or maintenance work that is not able to be completed by maintenance crew.

•Assist in developing and updating departmental procedures and policies.

•Supervising the day-to-day maintenance functions of assigned personnel.

•Managers the and prepares rooms for discharged or new residents.

•Maintains accurate records of maintenance records and prioritizes and completes projects in a timely manner.

•Conducts fire drills, smoke detectors, and lubricates all fire doors.

•Other responsibilities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
