OPAL is Hiring an Environmental Field Technician Near Clarion, PA

Opal Corp is an Environmental Remediation and Rehabilitation Services Contractor located in Clarion, PA. We work regularly in PA, OH, NY, WV. Opal handles environmental remediation, demolition and restoration projects. We are also professional first responders who are trained to handle and respond to countless environmental and industrial incidents.

Description:

Typical work hours, in addition to afterhours and weekend emergency response work as needed. Opal team members will work outside in all types of weather conditions. They will be driving in different types of terrain and environments. Opals team members will occasionally need to wear different types of PPE, including Respirators, Tyvek suits and other protective clothing. All this work will be performed under the supervision of an Environmental Field Supervisor. Technicians will be expected to respond to time sensitive emergency releases/incidents.

Opal is looking for dedicated individuals who will perform the following:

1. Assist in set up and teardown of jobs and clean ups.

2. Attend and participate in team meetings.

3. Drive and operate various motor vehicles and equipment.

4. Use small hand tools, shovels, squeegees, chain saws etc., also use assorted absorbent materials to wipe and clean machinery and equipment.

5. Availability to be on call for Emergency Responses.

6. Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Valid Driver’s license

2. The ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

3. Current 40 Hour Hazwoper Training and other certifications are a plus, but not required.

4. Must be willing to obtain required training within 90 days of hire (Company Paid).

Compensation and Benefits:

$17-$19 per Hour
