OP SourceStaffing. is Hiring an Electrical Superintendent (FT) Near Ladson, SC

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Electrical Superintendent to join our team!
The Superintendent functions as a company representative with customers and is assigned a team of employees. The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day job site needs by ensuring that company, employee, and customer needs are met by utilizing all available resources in the most effective, efficient manner while also providing a safe working environment.
Must have actual superintendent/foreman experience (cannot have just been an electrician or a lead electrician).
Pay & Benefits
  • $35 to $40 Per Hour (Based on Experience)

Responsibilities:
  • Provides senior leadership for environmental, safety, health, injury/accident, and fire prevention on the project. This includes safety orientation, preparation of safety procedures and leading direct hire safety meetings.
  • Inspect buildings and area for unsafe conditions, behaviors and practices and take appropriate corrective action to mitigate and eliminate.
  • Coordinate safety training and always enforce safe work behaviors and practices.
  • Ensure the applicable design document for electrical commodities such as raceway, cable tray, wire, and terminations are provided to direct hire craft personnel to complete work, and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule and optimization of craft labor and maintaining the look ahead schedule for labor and equipment.
  • Responsible for implementing corporate project policies, procedures, and instructions within assigned electrical work activities or applicable project-specific policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with other superintendents with established building or area construction work activities and plans.
  • Lead the preparation and implementation of the look-ahead and rolling schedule and budget control with support from the Project Manager.
  • Prepare material requisitions for tools and consumables and coordinate through Procurement to obtain these materials.
  • Prepare reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, craft personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecasts.
  • Plan the manpower and equipment required to execute the job.
  • Observe functions of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
  • Paperwork (timesheets, change orders, safety reports, accident reports, etc.)
  • Assist with the estimation of new projects and opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Must be physically capable to conduct field inspections and participate in project walkdowns which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, walking on elevated platforms, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing in small and/or confined spaces, and lifting to 50 lbs.
  • Work on energized circuits and equipment as outlined in Safety Policy.
  • Understanding and current knowledge of NEC rules and codes.
  • Experience in scoping jobs and ordering materials.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines.
  • Able to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Must pass a drug screen.
