Ooni is looking for a Development Test Engineer to join our Product team to help ensure we deliver on our promise of providing awesome pizza ovens and accessories.

You will:

• Be asked to test, break, learn, fix, repeat. And repeat. And repeat. You will live our value of rigour
• Own, Write and Execute customer-focused test plans
• Be key to the New Product Development Team in the testing of products throughout their verification from design concept to production and beyond
• Perform data analysis of testing results and provide actionable insights to the Product Development team
• Create new designs for test equipment and either commission or build them so we can test product and functional durability
• Ensure you and the wider team are well versed in current and new regulations and that our products in development meet the requirements of all our international markets.
• Eat a LOT of pizza

You will work side by side with our mechanical and design teams on new, yet to be released products. This role would suit a candidate in a similar role or with at least 3 years experience as a Test Engineer.

You will work in a very open and collaborative environment; the best idea wins, regardless of role or title. You’ll work in an ambitious, innovative product team that has their foot on the pedal. Our awesome products are at the heart of everything we do.

What you’ll need:

• Experience (ideally 3 years) in testing and documenting your results. Documentation is critical. You must be passionate about documentation
• A passion for wrestling difficult engineering problems
• A solid theoretical background in engineering principles
• Practical experience in testing hardware products / rapid prototypes
• Degree or qualification in Engineering or relevant field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain and present test results
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Team player, optimistic, solution-driven orientation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

You’ll get bonus points if: 

• 3D modeling (Solidworks preferred)
• 3D printing and other rapid prototyping tools
• Comfortable working with machine shop tools
• Experience working with precision measurement instruments
• Lab experience
