Onyx Strategic Solutions, LLC. is Hiring a Contract Administrator Near Columbus, OH

Our company (Onyx Strategic Solutions) is seeking a Contract Administrator to join our team. The applicant will primarily conduct review of contracts to assure contract requirements are met and perform analysis of vendor performance data to propose action plans which will ensure increased success of vendor performance. This position will be assigned to support Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) contract administration and may cross over into other areas of the logistics supply chain.

Responsibilities: The position focuses on contract administration and includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Post-award and termination activities, to include: · Analyzing individual vendor performance

· Establishing milestones for increased vendor performance
· Recommending and performing actions leading up to contractual terminations
· Initiating communication with vendors to ensure full understanding of impact of
performance on customer requirements
· Resolution of issues related to contract non-compliance
· Creating modifications
· The termination process

  • Developing, implementing and analyzing data requirements for planning and measurement systems to include proposals of new and innovative tools to assist in performance of contract administration
  • Analyzing performance of procurement activities against various procurement indicators and goals
  • Analyzing data to determine vendor trends
  • Assist in tracking/monitoring contract actions to ensure compliance with DLA policy, administrative procedures, regulations, and statutes

The successful applicant will interact with government officials, vendors, and other subject matter experts to translate needs into proposals for analytical tools which may assist in increased job performance. An applicant will be expected to work in a team environment and provide/receive constructive critiques.

There are multiple positions available at DLA Maritime (Columbus, OH). Positions are for both experienced contract administrators/former government procurement employees and developmental positions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Expert problem solving skills
  • Some knowledge of federal, state and/or local government procurement regulations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to utilize data for trend analysis and planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and work under time constraints
  • Willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supply Chain and DoD Logistics knowledge/experience
  • Knowledge of federal and/or DoD procurement regulations
  • Experience with DLA’s Enterprise Business System (EBS) and eProcurement
  • Former DoD employee or member of the Armed Forces, who occupied an 1102/1105, contracting officer, or comparable military contracting position with authority to award or administer contracts
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification
  • Experience in the public sector conducting contracting actions or experience in the private sector with logistics (parts/service) contracting
  • Experience in data analysis

Applicants must be able to pass a government background check and be within daily commuting distance of Columbus, OH. Also, the employee may be eligible to telework, depending on the position and customer needs.
