Onyx Specialty Papers, a manufacturing facility located in Lee MA, is looking for a mechanic/millwright to fill a full time position. The optimal candidate will be experienced in one or more of the following skills: Fabrication, Rigging, Hand and Power Tool Use, Pipefitting, Machining, Welding, Blueprint Reading, and Power Transmission. The candidate should be comfortable working in a team environment with other skilled tradesmen.
Initial pay level will be determined based on the candidates current experience and may increase over time as additional skills are gained. Annual earnings potential is upwards of $65,000. Our benefits, which begin on the first day of employment, include company subsidized medical, vision and dental benefits, company paid life insurance, a 401K retirement account with company match, and paid vacation time. In addition, every Onyx Associate gets 12 paid Holiday/Personal Days each year.
The standard work week for this position is 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday with weekend work (at premium pay rates including double time on Sunday) required a couple times per month. The average weekly hours worked is 45-50 hours. The position requires rotating on call responsibility, which also comes with premium pay. Overtime for this position is paid after 8 hours worked in a day.
