A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LOGISTICS ANALYST

As a Logistics Analyst, you are essential to the betterment of our business. Your primary focus in this supply chain role is to oversee the purchasing of materials as well as manage any purchase contracts. You are also responsible for cultivating new relationships and partnerships as identified by management. In this role, you grow and develop the logistics capability between Onyx, partners, and vendors. This requires you to take calls and meet with many different suppliers. During these meetings, you use your excellent communication skills as a coordinator to set up and ensure delivery as well as set inspections. You ensure we are using contractual mechanisms properly and efficiently. You will handle data requests and research products and comparables to provide recommendations to the team. While in this coordinator position, you stay flexible and remain open to new ideas. You create and implement a logistics support plan to add to the growth of our business. It is important you also make sure the company addresses logistics support for the whole lifecycle of logistics from procurement through sunset. Your experience in this arena is invaluable. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LOGISTICS ANALYST

• Experience in military or corporate logistical support
• Knowledge about IT equipment, electronics, aerospace parts, or similar
• Wide range of knowledge about the process of plastic and metal manufacturing, as well as the procurement of already manufactured products

We would love for the person in this analyst role to have CSQP certification (certified supplier quality professional). Upon hiring, you must commit to getting it within the first year of employment if not already certified. Onyx will pay for the associated fees. This coordinator position works full-time. While working in this role, you have a lot of flexibility. We do ask that you are able to accommodate the suppliers' schedules for calls and visits. You can work in-office or remotely with regular visits to the Huntsville office.
