Onsite Enviro Inc is Hiring a Field Laborer (Construction / Landscaping) Near Oviedo, FL

Description

The Field Laborer is primarily responsible for installing silt fences as well as other sediment and erosion controls that are commonly used as Best Management Practices (BMPs) at construction sites. 

Requirements

  • Properly install, maintain, and repair sediment and erosion control measures at construction sites
  • Operate hand tools, power tools and light construction equipment 
  • Accurately track and report time, project materials and equipment used
  • Safely and efficiently drive and operate a company vehicle and trailer
  • Other duties as assigned 

Work Environment and Travel 

The Field Laborer frequently travels to construction sites throughout Florida and works in the field using hand tools, power tools, and light construction equipment. This position requires working a standard work week in the field and may require extended hours and weekends, as needed. 

Physical Requirements

To successfully complete the field duties associated with this position, the Field Laborer must be able to:

  • wear standard PPE (hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, work boots);
  • work outdoors in a variety of weather;
  • walk, at times, long distances over a variety of terrain; 
  • work in various positions, including but not limited to walking, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods; and be able to lift to 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout an assigned workday

Minimum Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED
  • Some experience with light construction, landscaping, or similar field experience. 
  • Willing to learn new skills (operate silt fence, blower equipment) 
  • Work independently and as a team member
  • Good attendance and driving record
  • Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of experience installing/repairing silt fences, inlet protection, and other BMPs used at construction sites.
