The Social Sciences and Philosophy Department at Onondaga Community College is seeking qualified candidates to teach introduction to cultural anthropology part-time.
Major Responsibilities :
Position will teach at the North Campus in Liverpool or the Main Campus. Classes may meet in the late afternoon or evening.
The instructor will be responsible for:

• Preparing and presenting lectures;
• Meeting with students as needed to answer questions;
• Responding to student queries (e.g. email or voice mail) as needed, in a reasonably timely manner;
• Writing, administering, and grading all student assignments and exams;
• Computing grades and submitting them on time.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
MA in anthropology or closely-related field from a regionally accredited college or university with at least one year of teaching experience in anthropology.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. in anthropology from a regionally accredited college or university with at least one year of teaching experience in anthropology, especially cultural anthropology.
Bilingual in Spanish and English or other language.
Additional Information:
Academic year 2023-2024 pay rate is $1,371 per credit hour.
