Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Coordinator to join our team. As a Transportation Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing transportation operations to ensure efficient and timely pick up and drop off's of our participants. As a Transportation Coordinator you will coordinate and schedule uber services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Pennsylvania. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a understanding of transportation logistics.
Duties:
- Coordinate transportation activities, including scheduling and dispatching drivers, and vehicles
- Monitor routes and to ensure on-time delivery
- Collaborate with internal teams to plan and optimize transportation routes
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, vehicle maintenance, and fuel consumption
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards
- Resolve any transportation-related issues or delays in a timely manner
- Communicate with drivers, participants, and suppliers to provide updates on delivery status
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in transportation operations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in logistics or transportation management is a plus
- Proven experience in transportation coordination or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of transportation logistics, including different modes of transport
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
