Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to set sales strategy and manage a team of Field Sales Managers who are selling their respective clients on the benefits of credit program to accomplish/exceed credit goals within an assigned regional area. Role partners with Verizon’s Retail, Product Marketing, Learning & Development and C-Suite of key franchisees to set Sales Strategy for the portfolio. In addition, you will partner with the Inside Sales Manager on the overall engagement strategy of the Inside Sales Representatives supporting the portfolio.

Essential Responsibilities

Key member of client team that is responsible formanaging Verizon’s Cobrand program with over 6,200 locations; 75% of which are franchises. Duties include:

  • Lead and manage the field sales team to achieve credit program objectives for new account, credit sales, and quality improvements to overall program.

  • Articulate a clear vision and the aligned objectives. Ensure the team understands the objectives and are clear on their part of the mission to assist with effective development of go-to-market plans.

  • Drive open transparency across operational processes and organizational changes.

  • Influence execution of program in an environment of consistent change and competing priorities.

  • Partner closely with marketing and client program leader to consistently develop new training programs, tools, field incentive programs, and analysis.

  • Collaborate with Inside Sales leadership to manage Inside Sales team to achieve credit program objectives.

  • Implement sales management measurements (both behavioral and statistical) and review results with manager and client on team performance.

  • Encompass strong data-driven decision making capabilities – leverages data to predict trends, forecast future performance and build dynamic sales management approaches. Develop methodologies to collect competitive intelligence, identify changes in market conditions, and identify opportunities to drive program performance.

  • Leverage segmentation strategies to diagnose field performance and build plans to address with district/regional managers.

  • Maximize credit support/commitment by providing monthly performance report with executive summary on opportunity areas, to both Synchrony management team as well as Client management team.

  • Develop programs to motivate sales team to exceed objectives through ongoing training, coaching and recognition.

  • Manage expense operating budget and support OP plan, Growth Playbook and OSR processes.

  • Lead the team effectively through change. Display confidence in decisions, be consistent in approach, displays commitment, and empathetic to the voices of concern.

  • Leverage project management capabilities to build out consistent sales enablement tools in collaboration with client and cross-functional partners.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or in lieu of a Bachelor Degree, a High School Diploma / GED and 10 years relevant work experience in Sales Management n field sales/business development in the financial services industry. 

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in field sales/business development in the financial services industry. 

  • Willingness to travel extensively (50% )

  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Salesforce tools.

  • Excellent time-management skills – balance between field and office work

Desired Characteristics:

  • Cobrand / dual card experience driving top downs strategies into the retail channel 

  • Essential project management proficiency

  • Team player

  • Experience cultivating and motivating remote teams

Grade/Level: 14

The salary range for this position is 150,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
