Job Summary
Under general supervision, the TPC Demand Auto Adjuster is responsible for reviewing moderately complex subrogation demands from third-party carriers and waivers for estimates of damages from insureds and claimants. The individual reviews damage estimates, rental bills, tow bills, diminished value claims, etc. and contacts the third-party carrier to negotiate and settle the claim for subrogation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Summarizes documents and enters into claim system notes
  • Documents a claim file with notes, evaluations, and decision-making process
  • Compiles and reviews moderately complex demands and waivers for repair estimates and provides damages estimates via photos; demands and waivers may include damage estimates, rental bills, tow bills, diminished value claims, paid bills, receipts, car seats, etc.
  • Researches reasonable amounts and labor rates in the local market
  • Evaluates diminished value in a moderately complex claim
  • Conducts conferences with third-party carrier to review, negotiate, and settle moderately complex demands or waiver requests or negotiate an agreed price in a moderately complex claim
  • Provides and explains moderately complex estimates and subsequent settlement process
  • Prepares, reviews, reconciles, and triages moderately complex supplement
Work Location
This position is a remote home-based role. Your home office does not need to be near an Allstate office, but it does need to be in the United States. This position is not available for California, Alaska, and Hawaii residents. Candidates in a Central Standard Timezone preferred.
When you work from home full time, you'll need:
  • a dedicated workspace in your residence that is private and free from distractions
  • a minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB down/5 MB up
  • appropriate work surface and seating
What will Allstate provide?
  • A technology bundle that includes all equipment needed to perform your work from home (laptop, monitors, headset, keyboard, mouse)
  • Connectivity reimbursement of $80 per month to offset some of the cost of internet.
Notice of Licensing Requirement
  • As a condition of employment, you may be expected to obtain an adjuster's license in multiple markets
  • All required licenses will need to be obtained within 60 days of hire
  • You must maintain all licensing required for your role. This includes any continuing education and/or other state-affiliated requirements for licensing renewal
  • This role offers a $1,000 sign on bonus if you have an active appraiser license or active adjuster license in TX, FL, or your resident state (current employees and candidates who have previously worked for and are seeking to be rehired at Allstate and its family of companies are not eligible for this sign-on bonus)
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum 18 months of experience writing auto damage estimates
  • Proficiency using auto estimating programs such as CCC One, Audatex, and Mitchell
  • General knowledge of auto claim handling including subrogation
Functional Skills
  • Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone, to establish rapport and assess claims accurately
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, while managing time efficiently
  • Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to evaluate and negotiate injury claims successfully
  • Knowledge of innovative tools and platforms for effective claims evaluation

Compensation offered for this role is $50,000 - $82,500 and is based on experience and qualifications.
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
