Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help make sure they're well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the development and administration of policies and procedures to ensure the quality of United's jet fuel and related facilities, equipment and services.
  • Authors and approves UA fueling policies and procedures published in UA Fueling Manuals and issues variance/waivers to standards, as appropriate
  • Plans, develops, instructs, and implements system airport fuel operational policies and procedures
  • Works directly with key service providers and airport operations personnel
  • Participates in the development of fueler service levels, monitors company performance, including compliance and safety, system wide
  • Monitors and audits performance to ensure contract compliance, focusing on handling the relationship between United and the fuel service providers
  • Conducts training of service provider trainers and staff in UA fueling policies and procedures
  • Provides technical assistance and interprets policies and procedures for field services to resolve issues or problems
  • Coordinates the activities of the designated station personnel responsible for station fueling activities
  • Leads process improvement projects designed to promote reliability and product quality in a cost-effective manner
  • Performs internal investigations of suspected governmental, regulatory, or United procedural non-compliance incidents or occurrences
  • Attends industry or regulatory meetings as the designated company representative, and maintains liaison with the FAA or other regulatory agencies in routine matters
The salary for this position is $73,425 to $107,690, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • High school diploma, GED or education equivalent

  • 3 years in Fuel Management or satisfactory recent experience in auditing, regulatory compliance and/or policy and procedure management
  • Must have the ability and willingness to work off hours including nights, weekends and holidays depending on the needs of the business
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Must have a valid passport to travel internationally
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
