What you’ll be doing: 

As we build next-generation personalization, we're seeking an AI Test and Learn Architect with a robust statistical background. This individual will be central to our efforts to revolutionize our testing approach, fostering a dynamic culture of experimentation. This architect will be responsible for the construction of Test/Control methodologies to create statistically viable Control and Treat groups within our AI Customer Engagement platform.

The architect will also be responsible for the evaluation of results to draw conclusions about performance of tests and make actionable recommendations to optimize overall performance. The Personalization Platform Product team is a part of the Customer Experience & Personalization organization within Verizon’s Consumer business unit. Our goal is to deliver Personalization Products that enable 1:1 Personalization capabilities for every customer interaction.

Responsibilities: 

  • Overseeing and refining our testing framework, ensuring rigorous methodologies are applied to all experimentation efforts.

  • Designing and Executing Test Plans including identifying data sources, setting up tests and ensuring we have a viable way to measure success.

  • Champion a mindset of continuous learning and testing across the organization, promoting the importance of data-driven decisions.

  • Identifying and implementing strategies to simplify and expedite the testing process, enabling quicker insights and iterations.

  • Leading in-depth statistical analyses, interpret results, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Working closely with product, engineering, and data teams to ensure experiments are designed effectively and deliver actionable insights.

  • Offering workshops and training sessions to spread knowledge about best practices in statistical testing and experimentation.

  • Creating mechanisms to gather feedback on the experimentation process and iterating based on team needs and results.

  • Evaluating and recommending state-of-the-art statistical tools and software that can enhance our testing capabilities.

What we’re looking for…

You enjoy defining, building, testing and launching products and services. You’re worked towards develop new methodologies and exploit ground breaking technologies to push our product and service portfolio even further. You’re flexible and adaptable, and have sophisticated influence and negotiation skills.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience. 

  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing experiments in a business context.

  • Deep understanding of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, and predictive modeling.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Physics or similar field.

  • Strong communication skills, capable of translating complex statistical concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Previous experience in personalization or related domains is a plus.

  • Passion for fostering a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.
