Key Responsibilities:
The Base Maintenance Planning Team is responsible for the planning and management of aircraft heavy maintenance visits including: Creating work package assignments, coordinating with key groups such as materials, tooling, and engineering to ensure visit it set-up for success and monitoring and problem solving for issues that occur during the visit. The Base Maintenance Planning Manager will manage direct reports and be involved in daily operations while also owning key strategic initiatives for the team and complex projects such as: Evaluating ways to further optimize maintenance scheduling, long-range forecasting and proactive actions to ensure work is accomplished at the optimal opportunities, driving maintenance program changes, and the creation and implementation of new processes and tools to lead the team to success.
Identify areas for base maintenance scheduling optimization improvements
Analyze data to find
solutions and implement changes across the team
Monitor long-range planning forecasts to proactively identify and problem solve scheduling risks by coordinating with Line Planning and Strategic Planning teams
Lead, support, and coach a team of Planners who are responsible for work package creation and visit management. Escalate and solve more complex issues by collaborating with other stakeholder groups
Find and own team initiatives that will improve efficiencies such as new tools and processes
Report out on daily issues and status updates from the team
Lead and present in meetings including other teams and leaders

Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
4 years of experience in planning, strategy, forecasting, continuous improvement, aircraft maintenance, maintenance programs, or related role
3 years of experience leading teams and/or projects demonstrating effective leadership skills
Knowledge of aircraft maintenance planning
Understanding aircraft maintenance programs
Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with ability to effectively interact at all levels (including executive) and team
Able to think creatively and strategically with the skills for analysis and problem solving with all internal and external business partners
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
Be adept at juggling several projects and initiatives simultaneously through appropriate prioritization
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
Aviation related
Experience in Base Maintenance, Base Planning, or Strategic Planning
Experience in airline planning and analysis functions
Experience with continuous improvement principles and tools
FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
Data analysis and quantitative modeling techniques (e.g. statistical, optimization, simulation, spreadsheet)
