Position Description

• The Maintenance Supervisor role is responsible for ensuring their maintenance team is actively engaged to meet daily customer demand and minimizing equipment downtime.
• Provides effective training to the maintenance team and ensures safety and quality standards are always adhered to.
• Coordinates maintenance technicians to ensure that reactive work requests are carried out in a safe and timely manner.
• Drive problem solving efforts in order to increase team and machinery performance.

Work arrangement: Onsite; Supervisor will work first shift hours, but must be open to adjusting as necessary to support all 3 shifts

Essential Job Functions

• Lead the maintenance team to ensure all reactive work and project work is on track to meet customer demands.
• Review work orders, notes, and concerns for all three shifts.
• Review & Audit PM’s
• Assist with Maintenance Apprentice program.
• Coordinate employee training and maintain training matrix
• Manage time and attendance for maintenance technicians
• Elevate and communicate major or recurring issues to engineering team
• Attend MDI meetings for respective areas daily and participate in problem solving activities
• Use basic problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
• Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to Production Supervisor.
• Work closely with support staff such as Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Supervisor, Materials/Warehouse to resolve issues.
• Coach team with troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques
• Facilitate shift changeovers
• Work closely with machine manufactures to provide support for maintenance techs.
• Sustain and drive lean manufacturing and 5S activities.
• Complete required documentation relating to business or regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with cross functional teams to elevate issues that impact production
• Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate maintenance functions.
• Handles any and all tasks required to support plant operations.

Education, Experience & Skills

• High school diploma or General Equivalent Degree (GED) required
• Five (5) years or more of experience in maintenance and in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in leadership
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Fluent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems under pressure.
• Ability to work with others collaboratively.
• Strong organizational skills.

Base Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000 / year
