Job Summary:
This position will be setting up, running, and breaking down production chillers to ensure operation performance. Installing vacuum pumps and units with required refrigerant.Responsibilities:
Assemble, modify, set up, and conduct performance, sound, electrical, and other tests on air conditioning and refrigeration systems, sub-systems, controllers, and component assemblies with a focus on water-source heat pumps.
Provide periodic training and feedback for proper assembly to various production departments.
Assist with preventive maintenance, inspections on building equipment, and testing area components.
Key Competencies:
Support, Fabricate, Assembly, and Testing of commercial and industrial chillers for manufacturing operations.
Set up parameters and load programs for PLC and devices.
Able to diagnose and repair commercial and industrial water & air-cooled chillers, and control systems with minimal direction.
Proficient knowledge of electrical systems, diagrams, and wire practices.
Prior experience with Lock Out Tag Out and Electrical Safety.
Experienced in brazing copper joints to include dissimilar metals.
Able to prioritize and work independently with minimal oversight.
Effective communicationskillsinternally and externally to the organization
Assist other departments as needed
Maintain safe working practices and follow company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of HVAC service/maintenance & operation.
2-year degree in HVAC or related field preferred.
Must hold a valid Universal EPA 608 Certification.
