Chief of Strategy and Growth - PSP North America
This leadership role will be focused on overseeing the development, communication and execution of PSP's strategic and growth initiatives. As PSP North America Head of Strategy and Growth, you will report directly to the CEO of PSP and collaborate with our Chief Client Officer, NA Law Firm Practice Leader, NA Accountant and Consultant Leader, Head of Innovation, Head of Growth and our Chief Brokering Officer. You will also have oversight of our efforts to enable colleagues as they bring Aon's full capabilities to clients and prospects, develop offensive and defensive strategies with our competitor landscape, while supporting both PSP and Aon's broader growth initiatives. Aligning our PSP goals with North America and Global Commercial Risk goals and executing on Delivering Aon United/Aon's 3x3 Plan will be critical to our success. You will be a part of PSP CEO's Core Leadership and Executive Council.

What the day will look like
The strategy and growth leader will work closely with PSP's CEO to develop and design the executable strategy for the business. This role will involve interaction and collaboration with senior leaders in Commercial Risk NA and Global, as well as, country leaders in NA, UK and Bermuda. Also, the strategy and growth leader will work with each of PSP's practice leader who will be responsible for creating a for each year identifying proposed revenue goals for the following fiscal year and a go to market strategy that enhances Aon's reputation within the segment, with clients, prospects and markets. This colleague will also be expected to design an efficient system for ensuring all administrative functions operate within the requisite timeframes; a people strategy for identifying high and under performers, resource requirements and succession plans with an eye toward promoting diversity within the practice; and two-way communications strategy for all colleagues within the segment and with colleagues who have overlapping responsibilities
The strategy and Growth Leader will be responsible for the following:
Execution Based Strategies:
  • Collaborate on the development of PSP's overall Strategic plan; Drive and Implement short term and long term goals
  • Lead in the development of our strategy to accelerate growth - offensive and defensive strategies
  • Identify, evaluate and develop potential opportunities to grow PSP through potential partnerships and acquisitions, as well as acquisition of key industry talent
  • Focus on PSP's adaption and implementation of Delivering Aon United and the pillars of 3x3 Plan, specifically:
  • How do we maximise Risk Capital and Human Capital structure and capability to unlock new integrated solutions across PSP's business
  • Support our CCO to evaluate embedding the Aon Client Leadership model with certain PSP clients to strengthen and expand our client relationships, including enhancing revenue opportunities with clients
  • Support our Head of Innovation to Accelerate the Aon Business Services Plan for next-generation analytical tools and leading innovation in the professional services vertical
Execution Based Growth:
  • Oversee national growth strategy by providing institutional industry insight and provide ideas on identification and evaluation new business opportunities with Growth Committee ensuring we are embedding a growth culture into our AE/Brokerage teams, developing a system of accountability for growth goals and ultimately exceeding our growth goals
  • Focus on execution with Producers, Account Executives and Resident Sales Directors outside of PSP
  • Drive cross functional collaboration with Health, Wealth, Retirement, Cyber (and potentially others) counterparts to develop specific strategies for growth with those solutions for our PSP clients
Responsibilities:
  • Drive the implementation of our critical initiatives; contribute to the development, drafting and execution of those initiatives
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to track success of critical initiatives with our law firm, accounting & consulting practices; data & analytics, loss prevention and claims teams
  • Ensure we are developing strategies focused on bring Aon's full capabilities to clients and prospects
  • Bring a positive and collaborative attitude and approach to leadership team; challenge the leadership team to push beyond expectations; seek out most efficient and effective approaches to navigating Aon internal resources to support our goals
  • Be a catalyst of ideas, creative and innovating thinking, challenge the status quo, positively impact our business and colleagues
Key Areas of Focus:
  • Creating more connectedness between our PSP practices, colleagues and Aon network
  • Creating a culture of engagement from PSP teammate at all levels ensuring that each individual feels they are contributing and are therefore invested in our strategy
  • Solidifying PSP's dominance in the market - Strive for over 75% market share in law firm, accounting and consulting verticals
  • Achieving and exceeding growth goals in PSP practice
  • Developing tools and resources to enable colleague success when working with prospects and clients
How this opportunity is different
This leader will work with producers, AEs and other segment leaders to ensure succession plans are in place that will not compromise the support required by our clients. Segment leaders will make themselves available for all PSP leadership meetings and participate on All Colleague calls. This colleague will actively be supporting and promoting PSP's Thought Leadership Content. This includes the development of Thought Leadership content which will target the segment's current clients and prospects. Successful candidates will build a strong working relationship with the Leader of the Group Purchase segment and work constructively for the continued success of the group purchase entities.
Successful Leadership Candidates must be mindful of the AEs' responsibilities across their book and look to initiate strategies that do not create client relationship tensions elsewhere within the portfolio. We expect the successful candidates to work together to ensure that all PSP Law Firm, Accounting and Consultant clients are appropriately supported.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Currently has a title of MD or Higher in our industry
  • Fifteen - Twenty years or more negotiating Professional Liability Insurance placements in a brokerage, underwriting and/or claims; ideally in all three vertical of our practice - law firms, accounting and consulting firms.
  • Strong granular grasp of the state of the competitive marketplace
  • Demonstrates experience running successful teams and promoting innovation across groups and regions.
  • Solid Carrier Relations in the Industry with a high-level understanding of Professional liability insurance products, including liability, risk transfer and indemnification concepts.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience; JD and/or MBA advanced degrees prioritized and preferred.

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $240,000 - $340,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
