**************ROUTE SUPERVISOR******

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides training to drivers on the merchandising standards on an ongoing basis (requires on the job training with drivers while deliveries are made).
  • Trains drivers on company policies and procedures.
  • Oversees and maintains accuracy and compliance with all required paperwork and execution of detail. Includes, but not limited to: invoicing, load sheets, inventory control, checkout out procedure, check in procedure, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Assists route drivers daily with routes to ensure proper data of inventory merchandise is entered correctly in Ipad system.
  • Loads and unloads product and empty containers, merchandises product; accounts for all product delivered/returned and money collected, completes paperwork as required.
  • Facilitates communication for truck and equipment repairs with vehicle maintenance personnel.
  • Interviews and hires employees.
  • Assists management in performing annual performance reviews with drivers.
  • Coordinates work hours including scheduling, approving time off requests, tracking absences, timekeeping and managing driver overtime expenses.
  • Assists as needed with beverage section and cooler resets.
  • Communicate to management on items not selling.
  • Communicate to management on spoilage in machines.
  • Maintains warehouse and safety cleanliness throughout the facility.
  • Learns all routes in balance and has the ability to run routes as needed.
  • Fosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate that maximizes employee morale and productivity.
  • Manages drivers to ensure that Driver Daily List and Driver Inspection Lists are completed.
  • Fills in as a route driver when short staffed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience with commercial driving preferred.
  • Previous experience with supervision helpful.
  • Vending driving experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Requires a valid Driver’s License.
  • Satisfactory completion of Motor Vehicle Check required according the Vehicle Safety Policy.
  • Requires written and organization skills to complete paperwork in a decipherable manner.
  • Requires strong communication skills.
  • Requires basic math skills for invoicing.
  • Basic technology knowledge for handhelds.
  • WORKING AND ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS
  • Exposed to vibration when driving vehicle.
  • Exposed to outside weather conditions when going in and out of customer locations.
  • Requires local travel. In all weather conditions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSLifting up to 25 pounds-35 pounds, (frequently).

Carrying up to 55 pounds (frequently).

Pushing / Pulling – 2 wheel card loaded with up to 100 pounds of product from storage in truck/warehouse to up/down stairs, elevator (occasionally to frequently)

Standing/walking (frequently to continuously) the entire shift

Climbing (occasionally to frequently) step /up down from platform, up/down multiple flights of stairs with product on 2 wheel cart (up to 165 pounds)

Repetitive use of hand grasping (frequently to continuously) light to forceful manipulating /grasping of product, carts, doors

Reaching (frequently)

Squating/Stooping/Kneeling (frequently) while picking / stocking product.

Sitting (Occasionally to Frequently) seated at desk and in truck for variable durations between route stops.
