We are an established out-of-network medical billing company located in New Hyde Park, Long Island, seeking medical billers with pain management and J Codes experience. You must have a strong work ethic and great communication skills. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team. The position requires well-rounded knowledge of the medical billing process including pre-submission review, claim submission and follow-up.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review submitted claims for accuracy
• Conduct timely follow-up and research on all unpaid claims with insurance companies
• Work on insurance appeals and corrected claims correspondence
• Utilize all available portals for claim information
• Create and submit appeals and corrected claims packets, and other disputes, as necessary

Qualifications and skills required:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years medical billing experience
• Experience in pain management and knowledge of J codes is required
• Out-of-network billing experience strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be flexible and adaptable to various work environments
• Must be computer proficient
