As a Product Designer, you will join a talented and growing team of product-focused players to help transform final-mile logistics and supply chain operations. This role will report to the Product Design Manager and will aid the design team in building and maintaining our user experience to continue to make a significant impact, implement innovative ideas, and pioneer the future of logistics space.
This role is a hybrid opportunity with an expectation to be on-site 2-3 days a week.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Build a strong understanding of OneRail's product offerings, business practices, and the competitive landscape to help identify areas of improvement or interest. 

  • Collaborate with various members and teams across the organization to develop and execute business-focused solutions aligned with our enterprise clients' needs.

  • Support multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining a cohesive product experience across the platform. 

  • Contribute to the product strategy by translating complex product decisions and ideas into compressive concepts that evolve and enhance the user experience.

  • Be flexible while continuing to support and adapt to evolving or shifting business priorities. 

  • Initiate and execute product research and various methodologies that inform and validate product and design solutions.

  • Curate user flow diagrams, wireframes, and/or various fidelity designs that provide a compelling narrative to complex problems.

  • Review and analyze each problem from various points of view to ensure a proper understanding and be capable of providing an executable solution.

  • Effectively communicate reasoning and logic behind designed solutions and decisions with internal leaders, stakeholders, the Executive team, and clients.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM

  • 5 years of experience in various user experience related design roles focusing on product or business-oriented with 3 years in a mid to senior-level role. 

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a clear understanding of foundational principles, displaying how you have solved complex problems in a simple, engaging experience.

  • Have a keen eye for attention to detail and a solid understanding of core visual design principles and best practices.

  • Be a cross-functional designer with expert knowledge of user-centered design principles and best practices and the ability to know when to apply them.

  • Comprehensive understanding and accountability of the end-to-end, iterative design process.

  • Experience with information architecture and executing and communicating a clear path of understanding in various visual forms.

  • Capable of writing user interface copy clearly and concisely using the appropriate tone and voice. 

  • Experience designing complex data-heavy solutions for a multitude of devices, frameworks, platforms, 3rd party integrations, and more.

  • Ability to translate requirements, business goals, or research into various deliverables from concept to completion in a rapid and iterative approach.

  • Capable of communicating and providing clear and effective feedback with peers across various teams 

  • Willingness to listen, accept, and act on feedback provided during design and peer reviews.

  • Advance knowledge and experience using industry-standard design prototyping software and tools like Figma.

  • Be humble and willing to accept ownership of your strengths and weaknesses with a desire to grow and improve. 

  • Have experience in designing SaaS or Enterprise software

  • Strong understanding and experience in front-end development, including open-source platforms and tools, is a plus but not required.
