Functional Responsibility

Manages the development of database projects and provides all activities related to the administration of computerized databases. Evaluates and analyzes functional business requirements, workflow, and existing processes and interfaces and applies business process improvement practices to re-engineer methodologies and practices consistent with sound Database Management Systems (DBMS) principles and existing customer standards and planning documents. Applies activity and data modeling, transaction flow analysis, internal control and risk analysis, and performance measurement techniques to develop functional specifications and logical and physical database designs. Projects long-range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function. Plans and budgets staff and data resources to support application developers in planning preparation, load analysis, and backup and recovery of data. Prepares and delivers presentations on Database Management Systems (DBMS) concepts.

Minimum Education

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, or other closely related scientific or technical discipline. With a Master's degree (in the fields described above), ten (10) years' experience of which at least one (1) year must be specialized. With ten years of experience of which at least eight (8) years must be specialized, a degree is not required.

IAT Level II Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security )

IBM Lotus Domino 8.0 or Greater Level III: 10 years practical experience

Security CE Level III: 10 years practical experience

Microsoft Office MCSE Level III: 10 years practical experience

Microsoft Certified Professional Level III: 10 years practical experience

Oracle DBA Level III: 7 years practical experience

Active Directory Experience Level III 5 years practical experience

Adobe Acrobat Creative Cloud Level III: 5 years practical experience

VM Ware Level III: 5 years practical experience

HTML Level III: 5 years practical experience

JAVA Level III: 5 years practical experience

XML Level III: 5 years practical experience

JQUERY Level III: 5 years practical experience

PowerShell Level III: 5 years practical experience

Navy JLLS Connection Level III: 5 years practical experience

ALL Candidates must possess a minimum of a Secret Clearance.
