We have identified a need for a quality control technician. The role will be critical in preserving the company’s brand reputation by ensuring quality products are provided to our customers.

The quality control technician will be responsible for ensuring that the manufactured products meet the company's high standards of quality. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the production process, testing the products at various stages, identifying any defects or issues that may arise, and taking action to reduce or eliminate quality issues.

In addition, the quality control technician will document their findings and report them to management, suggesting possible solutions to improve the quality of the products. The quality control technician will also play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining quality control systems in the facility.

​As a quality control technician, you will be expected to:

  • Always keep the customer in mind
  • Perform quality checks and inspections of manufactured products to ensure they meet required standards and specifications including first article inspection
  • Record and maintain accurate data and documentation of inspection results
  • Actively participate in daily interactions with customer service and engineering teams
  • Collaborate with production team to identify and address quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct quality audits of the manufacturing process, including with suppliers and vendors, to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulations and standards
  • Interface with suppliers and vendors and resolve quality issues when they arise
  • Track and report quality metrics to management and stakeholders, highlighting areas of improvement and potential risk
  • Provide training and guidance to production team on quality control procedures and practices
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and production supervisors, to ensure quality objectives are met to include issuance of quality alerts
  • Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues to identify and address underlying causes
  • Disposition items that have been identified as not meeting quality standards in a timely fashion
  • Development and updating of work instructions to ensure consistent product quality
  • Development and evolution of documentation for non-production processes, such as red tag disposition, return material authorizations, quality alerts, and other quality related tasks and responsibilities
  • Assist with investigation and resolution of customer complaints related to product quality.

For consideration for this position, a candidate must possess the following qualities and qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Previous experience in a quality role, preferably in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of quality control principles
  • Knowledge of quality testing techniques
  • Previous knowledge and application of root cause analysis
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical data
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment

Candidates with any of the following qualifications will be given preference of consideration:

  • ISO-9001 Certification
  • ASQ Certification
  • Six Sigma Yellow belt or higher
  • Previous experience as a quality control technician
  • Associate degree or higher in a related field
  • Ability to provide cost of quality analysis
  • Additional training or certification in root cause analysis

Pay range is provided in consideration of local laws; any pay offer will be dependent on candidate's experience level but will not be lower than the posted minimum.

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
