Job Title: Quality Control Associate - 2nd Shift

Location: Fresno, CA

Job Type: Full-time, 2nd Shift

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sampling and quality grading all raw products incoming shipment lots.
  • Maintain calibrations of lab equipment.
  • Inspect print quality on all incoming labels.
  • Perform inspection on dry and liquid ingredients.
  • Prepare and maintain test data reports.
  • Evaluate data noting any deviations from existing specifications, COA, or standards.
  • Communicate quality or compliance concerns to the team.
  • Prepare Third-party laboratory test samples and form completion.
  • Demonstrate ability to analyze and interpret information.
  • Perform daily data entry in Microsoft Excel.
  • Perform challenge and integrity tests on required packaging materials.
  • Make decisions regarding the product when out of compliance.
  • Other duties may be required upon QC management request.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent amount of relevant experience and education.
  • 1 or 2 years of prior laboratory and/or QA/QC work experience.
  • Basic math (arithmetic), computer skills (Office Sage multi-tasking), and data entry.
  • Understanding of inventory procedures and specifications.
  • Requires basic use of computer, laboratory equipment, and instrumentation.
  • Must be able to communicate and maintain positive and effective working relationships within the laboratory team to ensure samples are processed and cleared in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Must be able to interpret data to ensure test results are within specification thresholds.
  • Works under general supervision.
  • Work consists of routine tasks requiring some decision-making.
  • Must have an understanding of HACCP GMPs and GLPs.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., use stairs, and industrial equipment.
  • Able to stand for a minimum of 7 hours a day.
  • Must be reliable and maintain a good standard of attendance.
