OneCause Full Time is Hiring a Corporate Controller Near Carmel, IN

Description

Our controller will be responsible for our accounting operations including the production of accurate periodic financial reports, maintenance of adequate system accounting records, cash management, maintaining a comprehensive environment of controls to mitigate risk, and ensuring compliance with general accepted accounting principles. While reporting to our CFO, our Controller will support, coach and lead a team responsible for AR, AP and Contract Management functions.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

· Owns the monthly financial statement closing process.

· Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.

· Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.

· Acts a liaison to external accountant, auditors and other compliance functions

· Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.

· Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

· Leads compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions.

· Manages staff through effectively directing, counseling, coaching, monitoring and training of team.

· Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.

Qualifications:

· CPA, preferred, with 3 years leadership experience

· 8-10 years of accounting experience

· Adept with financial modeling and strong Excel and Microsoft Suite skills

· Experience with accounting software applications and implementations; Intacct a plus

· Understanding of and experience with leading applications that are complementary to accounting systems, such as Salesforce and Chargebee, a plus

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Self-motivated and positive

· Detail orientated and initiative driven, capable of maintaining a high level of independent work on detailed projects

· Adherence and management to deadlines

· Ability to work in team environment with all management and staff levels

· Well-organized, capable of adjusting to a changing workload and handling multiple tasks simultaneously

· Fast learner, with excellent problem-solving skills

· Familiarity with saas business models and the associated revenue recognition issues

· Entrepreneurial mindset able to thrive in a fast-paced, PE owned company. This includes the ability to produce and discuss timely and accurate financial information
