Compensation: Base pay: $135K-$140K/year

Position Summary

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager directs and supervises the daily activities of the credit and collection analysts who are responsible for the collection and application of payments from customers. The AR Manager helps establish accounts receivable policies & procedures, approves or declines credit orders in a manner that will result in maximum sales, sound receivables, and the prompt conversion of receivables into cash with a minimum of past-due accounts. The AR Manager works closely with sales teams and customers to resolve issues and promptly collect amounts owed the company. The AR Manager reports to the Controller. All Finance Team members work to ensure smooth workflow in a manner consistent with the Company’s 5 Star Customer Service directive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulates and recommends general credit and collection policies and assures adherence to accepted standards
• Maintains frequent liaison with sales function
• Approves terms of settlement involving delinquent accounts when situations deviate from established parameters
• Manages all situations involving bankruptcy or the apparent need for legal proceeds
• Leads the timely and accurate month-end closing of accounts receivable balance and reconciliation of the detailed sub-ledger to the General Ledger
• Compiles, creates, analyzes and issues a monthly accounts receivable Flash Report to the Senior Leadership Team that highlights the monthly results, metrics and key customers
• Develops and maintains relationships with key individuals across the organization
• Ensures that policies and procedures are followed in accordance with federal, state and the Company
• Recommends and drives process/systems improvements and optimizations on a continual basis (e.g., forms; processes; procedures; software utilization)
• Researches discrepancies and resolves open items with diligence and focus

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

• BA/BS in business
• 10 years of experience in Credit and Accounts Receivables
• 5 years of managerial experience
• Significant experience and advanced skills using Excel
• Experience with Oracle and Hedberg a plus
