One Spa World is Hiring a Financial Analyst Near Coral Gables, FL

Position Summary

Using our Business Intelligence analytic platform, the incumbent is responsible for contributing to the financial planning & forecasting, budgeting, financial & metric analysis, and reporting of revenue for the Resort division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review data and reports to ensure the accuracy financial information.
  • Assist in the data collection, preparation and distribution of weekly and monthly reports.
  • Identifies trends and makes actionable recommendations to senior management.
  • Weekly and monthly revenue re-forecast preparation and consolidation.
  • Create and distribute monthly revenue targets to various stakeholders.
  • Compares financial P&L results to budgets and forecasts and prepares insightful variance review documentation explaining financial and operational performance as part of the monthly close process.
  • Preparation of materials for the monthly financial review to executive management.
  • Develops, prepares and coordinates documentation of financial analysis projects such as budgets, forecasts, projections and presentations.
  • Designs and builds various financial models that summarize scenarios around growth, profitability and specific strategic initiatives.
  • Acts as liaison to other departments, vendors, and other external parties to complete assignments
  • Support Resort spa location business initiatives, identifying strengths and weaknesses through continued ad hoc analysis of sales data pertaining to specific brands, providing insights and recommended solutions.
  • Preparation of PowerPoint decks, as required to support financials and analysis.
  • Maintenance of historical revenue and metrics in spreadsheets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Financial Planning and Analysis.

Key Relationships

  • Analyst will report to Director of FP&A
  • Will also work closely with Resorts division VP and Business Intelligence VP

Financial Responsibilities

  • This role does not have financial responsibilities

Qualifications

  • BA degree in Business, with a concentration in Accounting or Finance a minimum 4 years related experience.
  • Proven working experience in Financial and Revenue Reporting, P&L Forecasting and Budgeting, and Productivity Metric Analysis
  • Experience in preparation of PowerPoint decks, as required to support financials, analytics and other reporting.
  • Extensive experience and advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other Financial Software or Business Intelligence (BI) platforms such as Qlikview, Tableau or MS Query

Knowledge and Skills

  • Highly motivated individual with strong business analytical and organizational skill set
  • Experience coordinating and preparing financial reports, forecasts, annual budgets and other business analytics
  • Pro-active in liaising with and communicating to all levels of staff and management
  • Able to multi-task, work under pressure and deliver accurate and professionally presented results whilst observing deadlines
  • Problem solving and process improvement skills
  • Experience in Ad Hoc report creation, analysis and presentation decks.
  • Data Visualization skills
