Description
Principal Duties and Responsibilities*:
- Assess drawings for manufacturability.
- Work with engineering and programming to determine raw material configuration, process flow, set up
- times and cycle times.
- Request quotes for material, sub components, and outside processes.
- Prepare router and Bill of Material in ERP system.
- Track quote status.
- Identify custom gages, fixtures, overlays, and tooling that may impact pricing.
- Correspond with customers to clarify drawing/design issues.
- Partner with Production team to determine manufacturing lead time.
- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Seek out strategic supplier relationships and negotiate on behalf of OSM.
- Identify new suppliers and additional capabilities of existing suppliers
- Assist in other areas as assigned e.g. Shipping, Receiving, Purchasing, etc.
This job operates in a professional office environment and in a production environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment along with manufacturing equipment and the forklift. Estimator will need to routinely lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Infrequent travel (<10%) is expected.
Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills:
- Computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, ERP System)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication

- Work well in a team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing or engineering/programming experience, with various CNC machining experience.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 and 13485 Quality System is preferred.
