Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Digital Art Teacher to start working now on Thursday evenings and take on more work in the Summer - PreK-Grade 12 for Summer Camp opportunities. The location is our Woodbury/Syosset school. Our teachers will teach: Cartooning, Cosplay Costume Design (experience with EVA foam would be a plus), Manga and some digital camps - Illustrator, Animate, Procreate, Photoshop, Blender, Sketchbook Pro,

We run morning and afternoon sessions and teachers can teach one or two sessions a day depending on their availability. Each session is 2.5 hours for 5 days Monday-Friday. It is a great opportunity for public and private school art teachers and current art students in graduate programs to earn extra money doing what they love.

Our curriculum is created centrally so there is minimal prep required and all tools, equipment and supplies are provided.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• 1 years of experience teaching art or digital design classes (digital art teachers must know Animate)
• BFA or BS Art Education (MFA or Master in Art Education a huge plus)
• A fun, engaging teaching style
• Thoughtful communication skills
• A passion for One River School's mission
• Must live within easy commutable distance from the school (Woodbury/Syosset)
