One Hope United is Hiring a Training Specialist Near Charleston, IL

The Training Specialist is responsible for the training and development of Community Based Family Services (CBFS) Intact and Foster Care staff.

  • One Hope United’s (OHU) CBFS training program emphasizes consistency, accuracy, and excellent service to all children and families that we assist.
  • Upon completion of training, trainees should have the ability to provide consistent client service that supports the integrity and fidelity of Solution-Based Casework (SBC) and OHU/DCFS policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education

  • BA/BS from an accredited college or university required

Other

  • Valid Drivers License and acceptable driving record with OHU required levels of coverage for auto insurance.

Job Duties Include:

  • Work with Training Manager to deliver and create effective training programs and materials to efficiently and comprehensively train both new and existing OHU CBFS Intact/Foster Care staff
  • Facilitate the progress of trainees through the required training
  • Educate trainees on program policies, procedures, and personal skills using both instructional classroom training, hands-on-instruction and distance learning via video conferencing and webinars
  • Monitor staff progress through each training program by administering written and practical exams and providing performance reports to managers regarding trainees’ performance
  • Provide support to trainees after training programs have been conducted to ensure comprehension and to provide follow-up training as necessary
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs to ensure desired results are achieved and are in line with OHU goals and objectives
  • Assist in the development, revision and implementation of training materials as needed
  • Respond professionally to routine inquiries from staff, managers, and senior leaders within OHU
  • Maintain the highest professional level of confidentiality in handling staff information
  • Leverage learning management systems to track, deploy and produce reports regarding training events
  • Keep current on OHU and DCFS policies and procedures
  • Work effectively and collaboratively as a team player with other members of leadership and the Continued Quality Risk Improvement team

Required Skills

  • Demonstrate coaching, initiative, development skills, organizational awareness, and client satisfaction service approach
  • Must be professional, comfortable, speaking with all levels of management, and prepare to provide candid feedback to managers regarding trainees’ progress
  • Experience designing and implementing curricula preferred
  • Advanced computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment and adaptive skills to expand software application skills as necessary
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong confidence level speaking to large or small groups are essential to this position
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to document in a clear, concise manner
  • Ability to exercise discretion and ensure confidentiality
