**Description**

****Essential Duties and Responsibilities :****

**Enrollment and Recruitment**

* Recruit and enroll families into the Center Program.

* Organizes and maintains complete, accurate, up-to-date records for children.

* Maintain enrollment throughout the program year through various recruitment strategies.

* Collaborate with Special Needs Coordinator to recruit children with disabilities into the program.

**Parent Relations**

* Builds respectful, culturally sensitive relationships with families

* Embeds Strengthening Families initiatives throughout the program

* Communicates effectively with families through written and oral communication

* Encourages families to participate in program activities, parent meetings, home visits and parent-teacher conferences.

* Participates in parent meetings, trainings and family activities

* Participate in all home visits and parent teacher conferences to assess family resources and needs.

* Assists families in developing and implementing Family Partnership Agreements in order to encourage and promote their overall development including achievement of self-sufficiency as well as positive developmental outcomes for their children.

* Maintain Parent Resource area and Parent Bulletin Boards

* Follows up with child absenteeism, working with the parent to address barriers to regular attendance as needed.

**Recordkeeping**

* To ensure accurate and timely entry of all required child and family information in the COPA software system.

* Work in collaboration with Center staff and consultants to monitor, track and coordinate services for children and families.

* Ensures that health documents are complete and up to date, sending reminders to parents when updates or follow-up is needed.

* Appropriately documents monthly contacts with families in case notes.

**Professional Leadership and Community Outreach**

* Participate in all IEP meetings for children

* Collaborate with education staff to communicate regarding family and child progress and needs and to facilitate childrens transitions

* Collaborate with staff to achieve NAEYC Accreditation

* Develop and maintain community partnership agreements

* Is aware of resources within the community to support the needs of families and makes appropriate referrals

**Education/Qaulifications**

* AA or BA in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Psychology, Human Resources, or Other Related Field **required**

* Bilingual Spanish **Required**
