ONE HEALTH is Hiring a Specialist - Purchasing and Procurement Near Lewistown, MT

POSITION SUMMARY: Promotes health and wellness within the communities we serve by following effective purchasing practices and overseeing non-payroll related company expenses.

COMPENSATION: $17.88-$19.11 hr/DOE

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time 

AVAILABILITY: Monday to Friday

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. In conjunction with the A/P and Purchasing team, reviews purchase orders for completeness and contacts requestor for more information if necessary.
  2. Determines most appropriate source and contracts vendors to get bids, reviews pricing and places as it applies to medical and dental supplies and equipment, office supplies, general company purchases. Stays within budget. Confirms prices and establishes delivery dates and communicates with appropriate staff.
  3. Expedites delivery. Monitors and documents vendor performance and seeks alternative sources as necessary.
  4. Tracks all back orders. Contacts vendors about any incorrect shipments, discrepancies and/or replacement needs.
  5. Maintains and reviews records of items bought, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories.
  6. Assists with updates regarding purchase/production contracts in real time for estimated delivery, communicates significant deviations, shortages, or overages to internal customers.
  7. Demonstrates integrity and accountability over health clinic procurement practices.
  8. Assists with providing documents for annual fiscal audits.
  9. Regularly evaluates systems and processes to ensure maximum efficiency and cost savings for the organization.
  10. Presents to leadership regarding procurement as requested.
  11. Maintains users, reviews purchase orders, oversees receipt of goods, reviews vendor accounts and monitors support email for procurement software.
  12. Maintains company purchasing credit card, including but not limited to examining purchase orders, preparing statements, monitoring credit balance and entering data into accounting software.
  13. Supports One Health staff in making travel arrangements including registrations, airfare and hotels.
  14. Works collaboratively with other One Health departments to support capital needs.
  15. Adheres to all One Health Policies and Procedures.
  16. Participates in performance optimization and risk management activities as required.
  17. Cooperates and abides by all elements of One Health’s Compliance Program.
  18. Provides exceptional customer service and models the mission of One Health when interacting with internal and external stakeholders promoting a positive image for the health center.
  19. Performs other duties as assigned or required with or without prior notification by supervisor.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certificates/Licenses:

Required

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred

  • Associates degree in a business-related field

Experience:

Required

  • Two (2) years’ experience with data entry functions

Preferred

  • Four (4) years’ experience in procurement
