Internal Medicine/Primary Care Practice in Reston with excellent reputation is seeking a dedicated & enthusiastic Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join the team to make a difference in people's life.

Clinical Duties:

• Preparing patients for examination
• Performing basic laboratory tests
• Performing electrocardiograms
• Calling patients to inform results or recall as directed by physician
• Instructing patients about medication and diets as directed by physician
• Preparing and administering injection as directed by physician
• Authorizing prescription refills as directed by physician

Administrative Duties:

• Answering telephones
• Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics including personal and financial information
• Updating patient medical records
• Scheduling appointments
• Managing labs and documents in Electronic Medical Records
• Arranging for laboratory services and hospital communications
• Taking payments
• Keeps medical office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs, placing orders, and monitoring office equipment
• Protect patient confidentiality by making sure protected health information is secured
• Help market and promote practice

Requirements

• Fluent in English
• Fluent in Spanish
• Great interpersonal skill
• Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record & technology
• Fast learner & courageous
• Strong work ethic
