Snapshot of Daily Duties

• Update referral, demographic, and insurance information in the practice management database.
• Schedule office and procedure visits utilizing physician appointment parameters and preferences. Update referral and recall entries in practice management system.
• Make decisions regarding safe procedure preparation and scheduling based on physician preferences.
• Communicate special appointment follow-up needed prior to the patient appointment to the clinical and/or endoscopy staff.
• Provide patients with the appropriate forms, literature, and instruction.
• Monitor portal and g-reminders for patient communication.

The Must Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Medical terminology coursework preferred.
• Possess telephone charisma and excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must demonstrate a friendly helpful manner and individual responsibility and accountability.
