Retail Pricebook Specialist
The Retail Pricebook Specialist is responsible to manage and maintain retail pricing, oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate the price book’s integration with the POS and accounting systems, and for procurement of UPC and other related item information from suppliers. The Pricebook Specialist supports the functional integration of the price book and POS devices and requires working in conjunction with the management team at the stores to ensure data accuracy. Requires the use of retail software, excel, accounting software, and adobe.

• Responsible for the day-to-day activities and operation of the company’s price database including:
• Coordinating new item set up, cost, retail and promotional pricing, and PLUs
• Monitoring and troubleshooting price book downloads daily to ensure the most accurate information
• Review and process daily paperwork from sites to catch any overages/shortages or other discrepancies from the site level such as non-scanning items, incorrect retails, invoice entry issues; and make any necessary corrections.
• Ensuring retail margins are constant with established guidelines
•  Enter price changes, margin changes, tagging invoices, and other tasks related to operations
• Determine and implement the set up and the procedures for the centralized pricebook and POS system including retail departments, naming conventions, etc. to ensure that the information is entered into the pricebook, accurately and properly formatted. 
• Produce monthly reports for Operations relating to sales, category trends, markups and profit margins; and identify highlights and areas that need improvement.
• Analyze promotional performance using available tools and make recommendations regarding future promotions based on this analysis.
• Review and assist with inventory and resolve discrepancies
• Provide training, operations, and technical guidance to team members.Resolve operational and technical issues
• Manage the coordination and communication of pricing activity
• Work with Vendors and Managers to build promotions, order guides, updated cost sheets, and merchandising. Handle rebates and work with “best pricing” strategy.
• Work with store managers to maximize pricing opportunities based on retail parameters defined within category strategies
• Define and react to download errors and inefficiencies in the price book system and processes. Make recommendations on system and process enhancements
• Provide support for the initial set up of new stores in areas of responsibility
