Quality Improvement Coordinator (HIV Program)

The HIV Quality Improvement Coordinator is responsible for leading and coordinating quality improvement activities related to HIV care and treatment services. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with healthcare providers, clinical teams, and management to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based HIV care and treatment services.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to improve the quality of care and treatment for HIV-positive patients and prevention services for HIV-negative patients, including identifying opportunities for improvement, developing interventions, and monitoring progress.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinical teams to develop and implement evidence-based HIV care, prevention and treatment guidelines and protocols.
  • Conduct regular assessments of HIV care, prevention, and treatment services to identify gaps in quality and develop interventions to improve care.
  • Utilize and monitor data management systems to track and report on clinical indicators and patient outcomes related to HIV care, prevention and treatment services.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to healthcare providers and clinical teams on quality improvement principles and HIV care, prevention and treatment guidelines.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of research projects related to HIV care, prevention and treatment services, including data collection and analysis, report writing, and dissemination of findings.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, or a related field, or
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HIV care and treatment services, including quality improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare providers, clinical teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading quality improvement initiatives and developing and implementing quality improvement plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify areas for improvement and develop effective solutions.
  • Valid CA Driver License

Preferred Background

  • Experience with electronic medical records
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HIV care and treatment guidelines, clinical indicators, and data management systems.
