A facility in Saratoga Springs, NY is looking for an Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN). Must have current New York State license required. Must have knowledge of ER. Must have 5 years current ED experience. Must have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric advanced life support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS). **Travelers cannot be a resident of the following counties: Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Albany, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster*

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:

• 13-week assignment
• Start Date : 03/25/2024
• Unit: ER
• Schedule: 07:00 PM-07:30 AM

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 2 years of recent & relevant experience as an RN
• Saratoga Springs, NY RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric advanced life support (PALS)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Triage cases in order of urgency and need.
• Work with ER staff to stabilize incoming patients.
• Set broken bones.
• Perform tracheotomies and intubations.
• Give stitches and sutures.
• Start intravenous lines (IVs).
• Administer medication—as instructed by physicians.
• Create and maintain patient records.
• Transfer stable patients to other wings.
