Job Overview

Onda (www.ondaworks.com) is actively seeking a dynamic and motivated Talent Recruiter Community Manager to join our team. We are in search of an individual with a deep understanding of the e-commerce landscape, and prior experience in talent recruitment and community management as it relates to D2C, product-based, e-commerce projects. Ideal candidate location is Denver, St. Louis or Salt Lake City area, but this is a REMOTE role. As a pivotal team member, you will leverage your recruiting expertise to source talent through various recruiting engines, conduct thorough phone interviews, and maintain candidate engagement. Beyond your talent acquisition proficiency, we highly value your ability to assess the skills and capabilities of potential candidates.

Additionally, you will play a vital role in identifying and cultivating vendor referrals in areas where direct engagement is not feasible. Your organizational skills will shine as you efficiently manage talent records in Monday.com, ensuring accurate and current information for seamless talent management.

Collaborating within a fast-paced team, your primary responsibility will be to build and expand the talent pool to meet our client needs. You'll work closely with team members and thrive in a dynamic environment where meeting new people and conducting engaging calls are integral to the role. As a Talent Recruiter, you must have a keen sense of judgment, be a good judge of character, and possess the ability to lead calls effectively.

Onda hires experts (referred to as talent) in all areas of marketing, from paid media, email automation, design, and web management to fractional CMOs, CFOs, and beyond. Responsibilities

  • Screening Interviews: Conduct comprehensive screening interviews to evaluate candidate suitability.
  • Talent Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process, ensuring talent signs NDA and non-solicit IO for test projects, and smoothly transition into project engagement.
  • Test Projects: Manage the process of sending test projects to potential candidates, and evaluating their responses.
  • Vendor Referrals: Identify and develop vendor referrals in areas not directly engaged by the company.
  • Client Referrals: Coordinate and encourage talent to refer clients, fostering a mutually beneficial relationship.
  • Client Feedback: Solicit and track client feedback regarding talent performance over time, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Talent Relationships: Develop, maintain, and optimize talent relationships with Onda, seeking to keep them actively engaged between projects, and ready for the next deal.
  • Developing talent pipelines for new service areas
  • Developing international relationships for talent recruitment

Skills

  • Proven experience as a talent recruiter or manager, preferably in a fast-paced startup or agency environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter and Recruiter Flow.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with talent.
  • Outstanding listening and communication skills, with a genuine interest in engaging and conversing with people.
  • Strong organizational abilities to effectively manage multiple priorities and ensure timely execution of tasks.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving goals and objectives in talent acquisition.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, fostering a cooperative and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Passion for talent acquisition and a commitment to continuous learning and growth in the e-commerce industry.
  • Superior note-taking ability to capture important details and insights during candidate interactions.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to navigate changing priorities and dynamic recruitment needs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoying meeting new people and leading engaging calls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, marketing, or a related field is ideal, but not required
  • 2-4 years of experience in talent recruitment or community management
  • Prior experience managing a community of resources/independent contractors and creating culture within such system
  • Familiarity with Recruiter Flow or a similar applicant tracking system.
  • Previous exposure to digital marketing or eCommerce.

Additional Information:

  • Hourly / Contract / Remote
    • This is a 1099 independent contractor position, but is a long-term role
    • 100% remote work
    • Light travel 4-5x a year may be needed
  • 15-30 hours a week, Flexible within normal US working hours. Hours may flex up or down depending on workload and needs within a specific timeframe, however, this is a long-term role.

  • $24-30 per/hour; Compensation is DOE and negotiable for the right candidate, with great potential for growth.
