Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team. This role will fulfill a critical function within the broader organization – using primarily operational data, you will support the Commercial Finance Manager in providing decision support and analysis to business functional areas. This position will act with other members of the Commercial Finance team as co-pilots of the business with the functional leaders, helping to brainstorm, model solutions & find opportunities for growth and efficiency.

This role will be based in our Naperville IL office. Our office environment is a key driver of our company culture and employee experience, so a regular in-office hybrid model (generally T-TH in office and M & F remote) is required.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L reporting and analysis: gathering, analyzing, and interpreting relevant financial data.
Analyzes financial outputs for areas of improvement or optimization, proactively providing actionable insights to the Commercial Finance Manager and respective business partners.
Serve as thought partner to our Field Operations and In-House Technician (IHT) teams, maintaining a strong understanding of Operational KPIs and their financial impacts.
Support the Commercial finance Manager in the financial and operational budgeting/forecasting models.
Partner with the Field Operations and In-House Technician (IHT) groups to identify areas of improvement and optimization with our warranty claims and HVAC book of business.
Partner with Accounting to resolve discrepancies and perform validations for Field Operations and IHT P&L inputs.

Experience and Qualifications of the Role

A minimum of 2 years of experience as a financial analyst, or similar role
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Extensive experience in financial and operational reporting

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or related field (required)

Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job

Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suites – with expertise in advanced Microsoft Excel and BI tool functionalities.
